A and P show

Recently I entered some items in the A and P show. I entered a decorated biscuit and we got to make one for us to eat and one for us to enter. I also entered a food collage and fruit and vegetable novelty. I didn't get a placing for any of them but I still had fun making them .I think Nelson Central School did really well because we came 2nd out of all the schools!!!!

camp

On Thursday and Friday room 5 went on school camp.My highlight was caving.It made me a bit nervous but I got wright to the top!!!!!I was really proud of the way I gave the hydro slide a go because last year I was so terrified of going down but it is actually really fun!!!Check out these photos below (there are some really funny photos)!!!!

Last term room room 5 drew our calendar art.It was so much fun. we drew buildings (city) .We used vivid and pastals for the extra details.You can make these in to calendars and diaries and cards.

My Dad

My dad has really short, dark brown hair. He is tall, skinny and smart looking. His hair is rough like the sea. Dad has smart, sensible work clothes. My dad wears glasses [they make him look brainy].

Dad is nice, friendly and confident. He is as smart as a calculator. He is always at his desk working. My dad is a profile full of work. He is a very friendly guy and if you are his friend you are really lucky. Dad likes things extra tidy because he always cheeks under my bed  and all the places I might of put every thing.


My dad LOVES playing chess ,he does his moves extremely precisely.He unloads the dish washer really, really frantically. Dad sits at his desk really organized. My dad loves potatoes,he eats them really quickly.

I am in the middle of a lovely sleep when suddenly I hear a disturbing voice call out 'Sylvie time to get up'!!!
so I tumbled out of bed as if a bowling ball hit me.My eye lids lifted and I got out of my comfortable dovay.My eye brows were crossed.I had misty eyes and my hare is in birds nests.I look terrible.When I opened my curtains golden sparkly light streamed in to my room.

I thumped my way in to the kitchen and I was so hungry that I nearly ate it all in one spoon full.

I throw my P.J's on the floor of my bed room and get out my warm onesy and get in to my cold clothes.

I went and flicked my electric tooth brush on and it started to vibrate then I put a brush though my hair and 

and chucked every thing I needed in  my bag and went to school!!!

Earthquake Exibition

We went to the museum yesterday. At the museum
they had an earthquake exhibition. We went in groups of  five.  Something interesting that I learnt was how dogs wore shoes so if they step on glass it wouldn't hurt the dog's feet.  I would not have liked to have been in the Christchurch earthquake because our house would be broken and I might die.One question that I have is how many people were in an unsafe building?
